Can I bake one box of Jiffy Cornbread in a 9X5 pan?

The directions on the box dont give it as an option.. but I can, right? How long should I bake it for? Should I use one or two boxes?

THANKS!

  • That's a definite. I do this frequently. Just double the box for fluffier cake or keep at 1 box for a thinner cake. either way, cornbread by Jiffy is awesome...tip: try making it the thinner way and use it under homemade chili..mmm..mmm..good!!!

  • You can make the pan smaller by creating a "wall" with tin foil down the center of the pan and all the way under the side you fill.
