  • yep. we survive on 1700/month currently for a family of 5. no public assistance either. it is possible.. but hard also.

  • Can and did....actually did that with a family of 5. Its all budgeting and no extras. No cable, no internet, no cell phones, etc.

  • Yes but it would be difficult. We basically are a family of 4 now with 2 kids out of the house and one at his dads. We earn around $2500 after taxes and its hard. Prices have just gone up so much (gas, food, electric etc).
