When are their eyes supposed to change color?

My daughter will be 4 weeks old on Friday. Her eyes still look the same grey color they did when she was born...

  • some babies it can take up to a year. my DD is 16 weeks and already has her eye color. it's so cute, in her left eye, it's all blue, except for this one brown streak...i hope she keeps it. my eyes are blue, dh's are brown...

  • My daughter was born with brown eyes and they never changed.

  • It can vary a lot from baby to baby, but general they're reached their final color by the first birthday.

Last weekend, my guy's eyes were very blue-brown (kind of an irridescent color, really cool), but today they are SO brown, it's crazy! Very quick change!

  • I asked this same questions about 3 weeks ago. My son is 9 weeks old and still has blue / green eyes. I have green eyes & my husband has brown (dominant) so i am pretty sure they are going to change. Everyone told me baby's eyes will change from blue to gray then brown. most people said time frame from 4 months - 1 year.
I think it will make my son look completely different - kinda weird huh????

  • Most will change by 6 mos, but some will take up to a year. My daughter was blue eyed up to the time she turned 1, but soon after they turned brown/hazel.
