Are you open to changing how you do things to lessen your carbon footprint?

I know many people who are. I also know many who are not at all. I also hear many reasons why it's simply impossible for some to change anything. Where do you stand?

We aren't hippies or sandal-wearing, anti-deoderant folks but we have taken some steps and keep doing a little more as it's possible (without feeling impossible) to live in a greener way.

  • We try to live relatively green. There are some things we don't do that I suppose we could, but I think by comparison, we do pretty well.

  • We do what we can. We try to buy and shop local when possible. But some things, like driving are not as negotiable where we live.
We are always open to do as much as we can.

  • Truthfully? Only if it benefits me for the most part. We don't litter or misuse the earth but I'm not going to buy an electric tin can to drive and I'm not going to pay for and take my own bags to the store. I refuse to use those crappy light bulbs, I am an old fashioned light bulb hoarder. Even took out that stupid water saver when we got a new shower head.
We did put new windows in our home and new insulation to help keep the electric bill down. Added a solar tube to let more light in a dark room. We have always bought energy star appliances.
