Obama is in legal trouble in Memphis, Tn. He has to go to court before he can swear into office.

An inpector sited the Democrat for defacing public property by illegally posting campain signs around the West Tennessee city. In Memphis they have an ordinance that bans signs in the right of way. It's supposed to keep for sale signs, yard sale signs and campain signs out of the drivers' view. If Obama's attorney hadn't stepped in for him, the judge could have put a bench warrent for Obama and put Memphis in the spotlight. Since Obama has missed his general court appearance this past monday, a hearing date has been set for Dec. 8th. A spokesperson for Memphis say inspector hand delivered 3 letters to Obama's campain before the court date, but no one responded, so court was their only option. The city could fine Obama $50 per sign, and they have over 500 signs.

I heard it on the news, but here is a link: http://www.newschannel5.com/Global/story.asp?S=9383535

  • yeah, it's local. they said though, that if that attorney hadn't stepped in (from what i'm understanding, he stepped in on his own, without Obama asking him to.) then it could have been a major issue all over.

I agree with you and with the other poster who said about TN being a red state looking for money and attention. A fine will be paid and it will be done with. It's not like his supporters killed someone. they posted signs. wao this is what i mean when i said before how government should spend more money, time and effort on violent criminals instead of pettiness.
