I want to make smoothies for breakfast tomorrow. Is it total overkill if my smoothie has wheat germ, flax seed meal, and oats in it (along with fruit and milk and other stuff obviously)?

  • I would try it with just the wheat does seem like overkill to use all that. Though you never know till you try..good luck!

  • Maybe try adding one of those 3 ingredients at a time and giving it a taste test before adding any others :-)

  • Maybe you should try it one at a time before you pour all that into your drink at once.. Just incase you don't like it.. its not a waste.

  • Well, it would only be like 2 Tbsp of the flax seed meal and a Tbsp or two of the wheat germ, maybe 1/4 or 1/2 cup of oats. We aren't talking the whole container!

  • Start with a little of each; too much grain will change the texture...

  • Just one of the three would be best.
