Any suggestions on how to keep an 11 and 12 year old out of my room?

They do not respect my space or my boundaries. We have rules and punishments but they seem not to care.

  • Well I imagine a lock would work fairly well. And if they keep going in there, then lock their shit up lol. I am serious. If my DD ever develops this problem, I will be removing 2-3 things at a time in her room until all she has left is a bed. I will not allow my child to just ignore my words and my rules in the house, especially when it comes down to personal boundaries. If she doesn't respect mine, then I sure as hell won't respect hers.

  • i would say keep on em and eventually they will stop..either that or give them a taste of their own medicine. start hanging out in their room and going through THEIR stuff...see how they like it. even get involved in their conversations while they are on the phone..they HATE that.
