  • I had this question too. It was in the question about baptism. What's the difference in being baptised and being saved? What does it mean that you have to be saved before you are baptised?

  • I don't think in terms of being "saved" I believe that God made the world, I believe he became human in the person of Jesus of Nazareth who is fully human and fully divine.....I believe in the Creed....I believe in life everlasting...

  • The Bible says to "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved." Before you can do that, you must come to the realization that you have sinned against God, as have we all. "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" the Bible says. You have to be willing to admit that to God and tell Him that you are genuinely sorry for having sinned against Him. That's called confessing your sins. It would probably be a really good idea for you to read the book of Romans for a clearer understanding of what it means to be saved and what is required in order to be saved. That's where the verses above are found.

  • WHEN YOU HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST.

1ST- YOU SAY THE PRAYER... "DEAR LORD, PLEASE COME INTO MY HEART & BE MY PERSON SAVIOR & LORD, I RELIZE THAT I'M A SINNER BUT PLEASE GUIDE ME."

ONCE YOU HUMBLY SAY THAT PRAYER YOU ARE SAVED, BUT NOW YOU HAVE TO LIVE BY IT, (IT'S VERY HARD) SMALL STEPS LIKE MAYBE GOING TO CHURCH, JOINING A BIBLE STUDE, LEARNING MORE ABOUT THE LORD.

YOU HAVE TO LEARN TO TRUST IN HIM & YOU WILL BE FULFILLED, LIKE LET GO & LET GOD.

AS A CHRISTIAN YOU HAVE TO GIVE YOUR LIFE TO HIM, IN YOUR SUCCESS & FAILURES (PROBLEMS.)

EXAMPLE- IF YOUR STRESSED ABOUT BILLS & ABOUT TO LOSE YOUR HOUSE & YOUR UPSET & DEPRESSED SIMPLY PRAY & TRUST IN HIM - "DEAR LORD, PLEASE GUIDE ME ON WHAT TO DO WITH MY FINACIAL STRUGGLE, IM AT A DEAD END & I NEED YOU"

PM ME IF U HAVE QUESTIONS.

  • the plan of salvation:

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost

It is when you do this, then you are saved. in most of the books in the New Testemant, Paul is addressing churches of different areas. these churches have already done the above, so he is teaching and directing the church on how to live their lifestyle and how to keep the salvation.

  • as other women have said, you confess that you are a sinner and turn from your sin and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Romans is a good place to start with this, as NannyB said. Also, for the anon question about baptism, all throughout scripture people were saved then baptized. First we confess then baptism is an outward expresion of our crucifiction and resurrection with Christ letting everyone (natural and spiritual world) know who we follow. Hope that helped.
