1 Bump

Ideas on what this could be (health/itchy bumps)

My ds woke up complaining of a headache. Just a little bit ago he came and asked me to scratch him b/c he was itchy...

he has little bumps (NOT red) all over his back (which itches) on his front and a liitle on his face -- none on his behind and I forgot to check legs.

He also has a cough and stuffy nose. (No real nausea and NO FEVER AT ALL)

Normal energy (maybe too much -- LOL)

He did not eat anything new yesterday and didn't play outside b/c he's grounded.

A few weeks ago he did have STrep with High fevers (104 +) and headaches.

Any ideas what it could be????

He is 7. And hungry.

  • viral infection maybe? I'd take him to the doc's to make sure.

  • I'd guess viral too. But if he's hungry/ eating and acting okay, I'd let it ride. You could put lotion on him, or an oatmeal bath for the itch, and see if that helps. Since you asked this hours ago, I'm wondering if he has had any other symptoms by now?

  • update: I did take him in on Monday. No he did not really get any other symptoms other than a low grade fever (and I mean LOW - 99-max 100.3)

Turns out his lungs were TOTALLY stuffed (and he was just running around) they sent him for a chest xray STAT -- Thank goodness the results have come in -- its bronchitis only - not pneumonia.
