How do you prepare jell-O? Do you do anything different with it or add anything to it?

I tried adding fruit to it and it sank to the bottom.

  • I make it with agar-agar and fruit juice. Gelatin is too gross for me to think about

  • you gotta add the jello in layers if you're doing fruit. One layer, refrigerate, fruit, next layer, etc. I put in club soda or sparkling cider to make the fizzy jigglers.

  • while preparing stir it and then let it set. Afterwards once it is done then you can decorate it with light sliced kiwi or similar fruit which is light and sliced....

  • If you want the fruit to float, it needs to be almost completely set before adding it in. I don't have the patience to watch for that, so if I want floating fruit, I pour a layer of jello in, let it set up completely, then lay the fruit on top and add more jello. I normally don't mind sunken fruit though.
