Whining at nap time.

I lay my 6 mo old baby girl down... shes very sleepy, and looks like she will fall asleep at any moment... Then 30 seconds later, she starts whining, off and on... How long to I let her go like this before I give up on the nap. Sometimes she dozes off, but it takes a while.... How long should I give her?

  • DONT give up. Our little one fights off nap time sometimes too.. Just put her down, tell her your sweet mom coos, and walk away. Eventually she will get comfy and drift off. Cooing is better than screaming. :)

  • It could be that the nap is at the wrong time... As they get older they like to change things up and swap around their naptimes. Try putting her down later, keep her up as long as you can so she's good and TIRED before laying her down. She may get into a new, better schedule this way.

  • I put her down when she is sleepy... This is never at the same time each day.
