how many months do you have to be to find out the sex of the baby?

    18-21 weeks which is somewhere aroundn 4 1/2 - 5 months

    I found out at 19 weeks this time and 18 weeks last time and they were right last time.

    I found out at 20 weeks, but I think they can read it pretty clearly starting at 18 weeks.

    I found out at 20 weeks but they can begin to tell at 18. The nurse at my OB/GYN's office asked me if I wanted to know the sex before scheduling and I told her yes so she said she would schedule closer to 20 or 21 weeks because that increases your chances of being able to determine gender.

    With mine, they could tell at 16 wks. But that was a perinatologist!!

    If you are told what you are having before 16 weeks, it's pretty unreliable. If you wait until 18-20 weeks it should be pretty accurate.
