  • Huh... hope you are not my Bf's ex! They have a motion hearing in custody court as well tomorrow morning.

Basically it is a meeting in the court to hopefully figure out all the details of the custody issues and other details pertaining to the care of the child or children.

It is a lot of back and fourth on specific issues to obtain a final agreement.

You are not Shelly are you? LOL

  • a motion hearing is basically this...a motion is a move made by one or the other sides asking for something. like the ex might have made the motion that he get all holidays. the lawyers will go in front of the judge and argue the point and the judge will decide on it.
you may be more familiar wiht the change of venue motion? the one where the defendant will claim he can't get a fair trial and wants it moved? i'm sure you've seen those on tv.
    good luck.
