What would YOU plant in a Kitchen/Herb Garden?

  • Dill, Parsley, Basil, Thyme, Chives .... I don't grow many bc my mother
    has a very large Herb garden along with a veggie garden, so I get most
    from her...

  • I plant both cooking and medicinal herbs, salad snippets (leaf lettuce, carrots, radish, cherry tomatoes, and scallions), and some of my root veggies (beets, parsnips, taters) closest to the house so they are handy. But, in reality, my entire garden is a kitchen garden and medicine chest ~ it's all edible.

  • I plant what we eat, so for my herb garden, it will have a couple of varieties of basil, some rosemary, chives, thyme, oregano and dill. My kitchen garden is typically huge and has almost everything else we like to eat in it, like carrots, radishes, asparagus, strawberries, potatoes, eggplant, tomatoes, cantaloupe, watermelon, onions, shallots, kohlrabi, peas, beans, sunflowers, zuchinni and other squashes.

  • I always plant the things I use the most of Basil, Chives, Thyme, Dill. We also have Jalapeno, serrano and poblano peppers in patio pots.
