  • I asked a similar question earlier. We both have four year degrees, different majors, but he brings in about 65% of our household income. If I don't go back to work after this baby is born...well...he will earn it all. lol

  • anng...My LP went to school for aeronautical engineering and then for electrical engineering...the start out pay isn't bad, but as you said...the experience definitely pays off! I am glad that he had a start somewhere before the economy turned, because employers are demanding that experience right now!

  • I always made more than hubby up until I left full-time work to go back to school for another degree; I still did some consulting work but I would pick and choose those projects so it was more of a part-time gig. Hubby makes (much) more than I do.

  • I work FT and have 6 years of experience in my field but he makes more than twice what I do.  He has a management degree but works in a very specialized field that only experience can help work your way up.  An chemical engineering degree can help to get you a foot in the door in some cases, but you can't go back to school to "learn" his industry per say.
