Would lavender walls look nice in a kitchen?

i'd love to paint over the kitchen now with spring coming and do a nice pastel lavender shade in it's wall area, then over the moldings in a shade of moss green. i also want the curtains to be the same moss green.
What is this sounding like to you?? good or not.

  • What colour are your cupboards?

If they're white or a light wood(like pine or maple) then I think it will look really nice. If they're dark wood or black then it might now look as fresh and pretty.

  • It depends in the decor and cabinets. Also the floor and marbel.

  • Lavender's a simple, sweet color. I think itd be a cute color for any wall.

  • I don't think any shade of purple sounds good in a kitchen-and pastel purple is my second fave color. Maybe in a bathroom or bedroom though. Yellow makes for a pretty kitchen color and is spring-y

  • bring home a sample of the color and either hold it up to the cabinets or paint a small area that isn't right out in the open but you may want to wait 24 hours because sometimes the paint does change a little

  • I love lavender! My computer room is a light shade of lavender and I have matching curtains.I think lavender is beautiful for any room.
The moss green you mention though....I'm not sure about that.I'd have to see the two colors together first.
