Do you (in general) ovulate from month to month regardless of when you get your period? In otherwords, every 28 days or so. I should know this, but I'm not sure. Say I'm a week late getting my period. Do I ovulate 2 weeks from the start or two weeks from when it should have been?

  • Well, actually, ovulating starts your cycle. Most people ovulate every 28 days. You get your period at the end of that process. So, perhaps one could ovulate on that schedule regardless of when their period comes. That's what I'm not sure of although I believe that has happened to me many times.
