Blue ray players

im thinking about getting a new dvd player and was looking at the blue ray. my question is i have a 2 and 4 year olds and they seem to love to scratch and ruin dvds so i was wondering if the new blue ray disks are more really more resistant to scratches. i dont want to buy something else that is a waste. and what do you think is the best player?

  • We have an Sony BDP-S360. It has been an awesome player - free of problems.

  • They ARE more resistant, but a good way to end that problem is to lock up the discs or store them out of reach and make a no-touch policy for the player. We put all our discs in storage cases (original cases go into a box in the attic) and store them on the top shelf of our built-in book/media cases and a lock on the door in front of the Blu-Ray and satellite box.
