What do you use on your hardwood floors to make them shine?

I've used products in the past for my hardwoods but they seem to make the floor too slippery. What is your suggestion for a cleaner, whether it be store bought or home made?

  • Do you have a topcoat on your HW that shines? Some do and some do not- I never liked the high gloss look. I clean mine with viengar and water or Methods Brand cleaner.

  • I looooove the smell of Murphy's oil soap, but doesn't that make them slipper? I never had hw floors, wish I did. I would have thought vinegar would take the finish off. Good thing I don't have hard wood floors, I wouldn't know how to take care of them! lol
