when can you start a sippy cup?

my son is 5 months old, is this too early to start a sippy cup? He can already hold his bottle byhimself and he likes fast flow....so what do you think?

  • Anytime you want. I'd say go for it. It may take him a while to figure out all the steps or he may catch on quick. Just fill one with water and give it too him while he plays.

  • I thought it was 6 months for some reason. My daughter is going to be 6 mon. on saterday and she has already been drinking out of them. I guess its all up to if hes ready.

  • This is a great question. I just bought my daughter her first sippy cup yesterday. Will the formula go through it easily? She is only 4 1/2 months and I am not ready to give her anything else to drink.
