What did your babies genitals look like at 13 weeks?

i got an ultrasound yesturday and they of course wouldn't make a guess on the gender, she said it was too early. But if it was a boy, wouldn't a little something be sticking up? The genital area just looked kind of puffy!!!!

  • 13 weeks is too early to tell.

  • At thirteen weeks you can't tell the gender, it looks the same. Lennart Nilson even has those neat photos in utero to show them, you really can't tell the difference. The clitoris can look like a penis and vice versa.

  • Well at 12wks I thought I could see a little tiny third leg, and he turned out to be a boy. So Idk, guess it could have been something else though... like they start with a tail type thing, could have been that.

  • I don't know, as I had my first u/s at 7w 1d and my second at 18w 5d (which just told me what I already knew before my 2nd trimester - BOY!). But 13w is way too early to determine the gender, I think the earliest is 16.

  • No idea. I only had one ultrasound, at 22 weeks. I didn't want any unnecessary ones.

  • Too early to tell. Don't try guessing, just wait.
