  • Don't look at other babies' weights. They have NO bearing on YOUR baby's weight. It's like asking what a 20 year old woman should weigh... without taking ANYTHING else into account.

    Look for baby to gain about 4-6 ounces per week from lowest weight. About a pound a month on average. Six month target is to double birth weight. One year target is triple.

  • my daughter weighed around 16 lbs at 5 months and now at 7 months she weighs 18# 6oz. she is a big baby, weighed 9# 3oz when she was born

  • My son was 22lbs and 30 inches at 5 months, he just had his 9 month and he was 24lbs and 32 inches.
