  • I started from when my kids were born.
When they were teen wee I would gently rub their gums with the wash cloth.
As they got older I used a little rubber massage on them. As soon as there was even a hint of a tooth, out came the tooth brushes.

It's never too early to teach good oral hygiene.

  • We did gum massage very early. He started having teething symptoms before he turned 2 months. We used one of those soft brushes you can wear on your finger to massage their gums. We started using a soft toothbrush as soon as he had teeth, and try to brush at least twice a day. When he got a little older (he's two now), we had to convince him to let us have a turn to brush his teeth thoroughly and then he can have a turn to try to do it on his own.

  • I started doing the gum wiper thing when he was 3 months old, I wanted him to be used to having me do it. I did it twice a day (although not always with the infant gum gel).

He's 3 now and we brush after every meal...its tough for me because i HATE teeth).
