A guy is in a relationship and something happens but he doesn't try to fight to make it work. A few years later, a guy dates another girl, and things don't go well between them, so they ended up breaking up, but this time, he fights hard to get her (the second girl) back. Have you heard of this situation before? Oh lawd. I second my first opinion. I think it means that he might realize he made a mistake the first time and is trying not to make the same mistake the second time.
