How to wash a blanket with fringe?

I just made a crochet blanket and added fringe to the bottom, is it okay just to wash it? it was an order and i would like to wash it first, but i dont want it to mess up, cause i know it will have to be washed some time. please help!

  • wash in cold or warm water with like a gentle soap on the delicate cycle alone it will be fine. air dry or low heat dry it.

    it's also going to depend on the yarn used. I find that acrylic yarns matte up in the dryer so I prefer to lay those flat to dry.

  • After you wash it I recommend combing out the fringe with a wide tooth comb.

  • if it's a baby blanket maybe it will fit in a pillowcase and wash it that way
