Did stripping the membranes work for you?

tomorrow is my due date and i have been having irregular contractions for 2 days
so at my doctors appt im going to get my membranes stripped.
i was just wondering other people opions on if it works or not.
i dont wanna get to excited.

  • It did not work for me. I still had to be induced at 41 weeks. GL!

  • It was quite painful for me and didn't help at all.

  • I got it done at 37 weeks and then at 38 weeks.... I went into labor that night...

  • I didn't need it done.

    My friend had it done, though, she was at 42 weeks! I guess it helped because she had him two days later!

  • It sorta worked with my 4th. They stripped my membranes after TWO WEEKS of irregular contractions. It was the day before my due date. I got more consistant once after that and went to the hosp. Turned out my baby was in distress so they induced me. I dont know if you can count that or not.

  • Didn't work for me either. I still ended up getting induced and having an emergency c-section.

  • is it the same as streching the cervix???that worked for me
