Do Santa's presents come wrapped or unwrapped?

Mine were always wrapped in a different kind of paper or special bag from Santa growing up. I wrap my daughters because well, I like wrapping presents!

So does Santa leave them wrapped or unwrapped in your house?

  • Santa wraps everything but Santa uses a different type of paper. I remember when I was 16 and a live-in Nanny...the family had a 5 yr old and a 2 yr old and the 5 yr old asked "How come Santa wraps his presents in the same wrapping paper you do?" Off the top of my head I told her "because Santa shops at Wal*Mart!!" Kids are WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too smart!!!

  • I do half and half. You know it takes all morning to open those darn boxes so the items I know they are going to want to play with immediately are the ones that are unwrapped. I use different paper for each of the kids. They think Christmas is the one time of the year when Mom and Dad don't purchase the gifts, lol.

  • I think I remember a few times where there were some that were not wrapped. But mostly they were. I like to use plain colored paper for Santa's gifts so they can easily stand out from the fun paper I usually use :)

  • My family always wrapped Santa gifts, in different paper. My hubby's family always left theirs open. We actually fought about this, and compromised. When we're at my family's house they're wrapped, but when we are at his, they're not - he hasn't questioned this yet (he'll be four this year) but I figure Santa just ran out of wrapping paper between Texas and Colorado.
