Are you still using the plastic bags or have replaced them with brown paper bags or cloth bags in order to restore the green environment?

  • i have a nice collection of cloth bags and a few mesh produce bags. i hate plastic bags and it has nothing to do with the environment. where i live, a significant number of people use their own cloth bags but when i travel to certain places, cashiers and customers alike look at me as if i have 3 heads when i say i don't need a bag for the ONE item i'm purchasing or if i offer up my cloth bag for my groceries.

  • I'm still on plastic bags for the time being. I'll get around to buying the reusable ones soon enough.

  • I use both, for different things. I try to use my re-usable bags, but sometimes they are just not as convenient or I forget them. However, I have cut down on the paper and plastic bag use.

  • I have reusable ones and I get store points every time I use them which go towards free groceries.

  • I use both- but we use our plastic bags as trash pail liners.

  • I'm still using plastic bags from the store. They work wonderfully for scooping used cat litter into.

  • I usually use cloth reusable bags, but if we forget them I just reuse or recycle whatever kind of bag the store gives us. Some stores will give you credit (usually something like $0.05 or $0.10) if you use reusable bags too.
