How do you like it? Do you feel it's accurate?

  • I have the exergen one that you scan across the forhead and it has always been rather accurate. We took it to the pedi with us one time that ds was sick and it was accurate. However, the pedi told us that they usually tend to be 1 degree off.

  • We have one, it's an Exergen. It's okay, but I want to get one that goes in the ear like at our Dr.'s office. I don't think it's very accurate..

  • haha I have a tendency to not believe it and round the temperatures in my favor. For instance, if it says a hundred when I take it on me I justify it as the thermometer being wrong and it really means I only have have a 98 but if my kids get a 99 degree answer, I freak out claiming its a high fever!

  • Those Exergen ones are expensive! I have an ear one but it doesn't fit in my kids' canals yet. I can clearly tell that my kids have a fever and it reads 97.9. I call BS on that one.
