  • I dont see why there has to be a difference? I am a sahm and any time I spend with my kids is quality time.

  • Those two go together.

Answer by older at 8:47 AM on Mar. 4, 2011

  • Definitely both.
You can't spend 24/7 with your kids, but spend it distracted, stressed, or otherwise disengaged and call it sufficient.
You can't spend 1 hour per week having a great time with your kids and call it sufficient.
Kids need lots of their parents' time (not 24/7, but more than what some people are willing to give) and they need us to be attuned and involved with them while we're at it.

  • Sitting on the couch watching TV for two hours is not of much value. Taking a walk around the block, and talking about our day is incredibly valuable. I will take quality over quantity.

  • You must have lots of quantity time to get good quality time. I love being with her but I cherish the quality moments more than the other stuff.

Answer by Jademom07 at 8:55 AM on Mar. 4, 2011

  • Quality, hands down.

Answer by amybaby_19 at 9:06 AM on Mar. 4, 2011

  • Why can't we have both?
Spend as much quality time with your children as you can.
