  • Does he have any current medical conditions? What has changed for him lately? Anything? Have you noticed any other changes? How is his diet? Does he only feel week and tired before school or an activity or is it constant? It might be a good idea for him to visit the doctor.

  • There are a lot of possibilities, but it could be something serious. Does he have other symptoms? Chronic nausea? Constipation? Dry skin? Intolerance to cold or heat? Any unusual pain or swelling anywhere? hair loss? sudden weight gain or loss? Depression, anxiety, or irritability? You may want to take him to a doctor and have some blood tests done - fatigue and weakness can be caused by thyroid problems.

  • How old is he? Our son gets more tired than normal when he's growing so that could be whats causing the tiredness. (our son is almost 16). Does he get physical exercise other than in P.E. class? Make sure he is getting good meals with lots of vitamins and proteins and watch his soda intake. If he drinks a lot of soda, try getting him to switch to orange juice or something similar. If it continues, you may want him to have a checkup.

  • I don't think PS3 will make him weak and tired! Take him to the doctor. Parajumper3 may be right, mono

  • I'm thinking he probably doesn't sleep enough - what teenage boy does? Depending on his age he also could be going through a growth spurt, and that can be exhausting! That plus not sleeping anyway would definitely leave him feeling tired!

  • Several good suggestions here. Another thing to think about - he is a growing teen. His hormones are changing along with his body and mind. Make sure he is getting plenty of good rest. As for playing PS3 too much - that is ENTIRELY possible. Especially if he is doing it all the way up to bed time. My boys have to stop ALL high-end activity an hour before bed time. This gives the mind time to slow down and get out of the high-activity mode. My boys either draw, read or play solitaire...anything that is not a high-end activity. They rest MUCH better this way.
