  • I haven't been but from what I hear, it's well worth it to stay on site and that's what we're planning to do when we go. :)

  • When we traveled with the kids, way back when, we would always stay outside the local area, just to get a good hotel rate. It was very enjoyable to actually get away and enjoy a quiet night's sleep. I can't tell you that's what is best for you, but it worked for us.

  • The value resorts are the least expensive of the Disney resorts and they aren't too much more than your average hotel room price-wise. The benefits are that you can either use Disney transportation or if you drive your own car you get free parking at the parks when you show them your resort parking pass. The resorts have other fun things to do that your average hotel doesn't have....fun pools, arcades, pin trading, cafeterias, etc.

  • If you can get a good package deal stay on the resort because you get free shuttle transportation between all the theme parks.
