Southern Sayings

Just for fun ladies...I was born and rasied in Birmingham, AL and am proud to be a southerner that says aint and y'all.
Here are a few to start us off
I'm happier than a starving tick on a fat dog
Hotter than a $2 whore in church on Sunday
That girl could make the preacher cuss (this was said in ref. to me as a teen)
Sh*t fire and save the matches
What's the difference between a Yankee and a Damn Yankee?
- a Yankee comes to visit. A damn Yankee comes to stay (moves to the south)

If you know the meaning behind your saying then please post it...

  • My Dad was from NC and he had a few, but my favorite was: I'm so hungry I see bow-legged biscuits walking on corn-bread crutches!
He also would say: I ain't comin'! Meaning, NO WAY!
