Is it normal for a 5 month old to roll from back to front but not from front to back?

Almost every time I lay my son down on his back he will roll onto his tummy and not be able to roll back over. He gets super frustrated.
He also "creeps" around to get his toys or pacifier.

  • My DD could do it, but she hated rolling onto her back. Hated it. So she would act like she couldn't do it.

It's well within the range of normal.

  • If you leave him long enough he will figure it out. My DD did it in one weekend. She rolled front to back and we left her and let her get frustrated and she figured it out.
