  • just write a sappy story to Ellen Degeneres.

this is the second time (i haven't watched it that long) i've seen her give a military family a new car, because they're struggling with one income coming in. WTH? um, tell the wife to go get a JOB. jeez. it's what we normal wives do...

  • I really hope your not implying that a SAHM is abnormal. Oprah gives away tons of things but, I don't see people complaining about that.

  • oh no i'm not saying a SAHM is abnormal. i was a SAHM, and would LOVE to go back to being one. i was mainly just venting cuz i just seen it. i'm just saying instead of complaining to someone that you can't cope with 1 income, go find a job until you can.

  • They get more than the rest of us so they get enough. The military is the biggest form of socialism and welfare. What more do they want? The men get all the free sex they want from other women while the wives spend their money on stupid stuff. Why should we give them anything more?

  • WHAT??!! first of all, it IS hard to work on one income, especially for enlisted personel. they don't get much unless deployed, and even then how much more you get depends on your MOS, what you do. and not all the wives spend the "countless" dollars they get. the extra money they do get, goes towards bills they can pay off, and some in the savings.

there are SO many military men and women that gives us all a bad name, when in reality that's not the case. there are tons of people i know in the military that DO need help, they honestly can't afford much. sure, help people out that need it, i'm all for it. as long as they are doing their best to help themselves. people that complain that they can't live off one income and then go crying to people for help are the ones that get me. if you can't live off one, go get a second income until you can. not that hard.
