How about a medicine kit? Something with a thermometer, dropper, nasal bulb, fingernail clippers etc. We got a good one at Walmart for 20 bucks...

I got the Dr. Brown bottles, BPA free, so there aren't any inserts... spit up towels are a good one though

LOTS of burp cloths (I found that cloth diapers work a hell of a lot better than actual "burp" cloths...other Moms?). How are you with bedding? I bought more sheets than I needed for our bassinet, it really didn't get dirty, so you don't need to go nuts! Do you have a Boppy? Nipple cream?
Honestly, other than diapers, wipes, and onesies, this was all I needed for quite awhile!

Bouncer and a swing. I never used the mittens or teething rings with any of my kids so not sure about those.

I agree that the boppy and the bouncers are great...and I preferred to use cloth diapers instead of burp cloths as well. If you've got extra money to spend, you can always stock up on diapers and wipes. Do you have socks? a few toys?
