  • How about finding out where they are from and greeting them in that way?

  • I always say "Very nice to meet you." This unless it's my husband's boss or my friend's really good friend from Amsterdam or something. Then it's, "It's really a pleasure to meet you!"

  • I usually just say "Nice to meet you" and offer a handshake if it feels appropriate.

  • Funny how we change it depending on the situation.

  • I always smile, say "hi" and shake hands. As weird as this sounds, I LOVE shaking hands. If someone doesn't shake my hand when I meet them, I have a negative opinion of them! Ha ha

  • We are from such a small town that its usually "Hi! I'm Blythe's mom...who do you belong to?" "Oh, are you any relation to..." "Ok! They used to live just down the road from my...."

Just a casual "hello" and introduction most times.

  • I usually say 'nice to meet you '. I usually try to make eye contact and smile instead of shaking hands. People aren't too much into 'hand shaking' in this age of germaphobes. I tend to not do they unless the person extends his/her hand. You never know who doesn't shake hands anymore.
