Anon postings

I think they should be outlawed. Ok, the person posting the question can be anon, but to answer you have to use your own name. Own up to your hateful self! (this is directed to those lovely anon's that feel the need to bash all the time! Not to the ones who want to answer honestly but might be embarrassed or whatever)

  • We keep asking them to let an OP control whether or not anons can answer their questions. That would solve most of the problems right there.

  • I post anon, but it's never rude. That's a good idea...ask a question, but you can't answer it anon lol

  • One of the reasons I sometimes post anonymously is because I don't want sexual things out there being connected with my username. My work is pretty strict about stuff like that and I don't want to risk anyone in the company seeing it.

  • yeah, I'm not against it either, only when people abuse it. That's why so many people ignore anon posts altogether, because they just think they are rude. But they aren't all that way.

  • Keep reporting those nasty anon's. Cafe Mom knows who they are. If we work together and keep reporting them, admin will either take thier anon privileges away or delete their account. Sure they can create a new one, but eventually the same thing will happen.

  • I use to think the anonymous button should be taken away PERIOD.  Whether posting a question or answering one.  I've since changed my mind.  The anonymous keep things spicy.  Like a soap opera.  I have to love someone who can entertain me.

  • I agree...I understand the reasons behind asking a question anon but when someone says something rude or hateful and then posts it anon it's almost like an extra little slap in the face

  • Being rude or hateful is one thing; cowards hide behind anon in those cases BUT moms here often ask for honest answers and then are offended when they get it. I always post anon because women are too darn sensitive and it seems you can't have any real discussion without someone getting their nose bent out of shape.
