Has anybosy found out as early as 12 weeks what they were having?

I have read and seen ultrasound photos on the internet of 12 week ultrasounds and people knowing what they were having. When I went in for my 12 week, they gor between the legs and I didn't really see anything. I definately didn't see boy parts but didn't see 3 white lines either.

  • I found out at 15 weeks, and I know someone who found out at 14, but I personally haven't heard of anyone knowing before then.

  • I went in at 18 weeks and it was too unclear to tell then. The lady said that 18 weeks is usually the earliest that she is able to tell. We went back at 21 weeks and were able to find out then. I think we found out at 18 or 19 weeks with our last...but I think 12 weeks is probably too early.

  • When I was 13 weeks with my oldest DD they told me 60 percent chance of a girl, but they could be for sure then. She was right...I had a girl :)

  • Genetalia isn't formed at 12 weeks - unless they have an amnio there's no way to find out that early. Even at 20 weeks it's not guaranteed.

  • No, I don't think it can be determined at that point.
