What is the fastest and best way to thaw meat? (pork chops)

  • Put it in a bowl or container, let cold water run over it slowly. No need to have fast running water. Turn the pieces occasionally.

  • I usually put mine in the sink with hot water. I drain it and add more hot water bout every 30 mins til it is thawed.

  • DONT use hot water it will try to cook the meat. I use cold water in the sink, or i put it on the plate outside in the sun or I just put it in the microwave and use the defrost button, but you have to check on it i usually put it on defrost for 2 mins check it then another 2 mins and so on till its defrosted.

  • I use the microwave on the auto-thaw setting. You may have to take them out of the store packaging, but it is a quick and easy way.
