I gave birth 2 days ago and have stopped getting colostrum out of my breasts. If this normal or is my milk not going to come in now?

  • It's normal, you are transitioning into engorgement.

  • You need to talk to the doctor or your BF consultant asap. I had this with my second child. My consultant had me using a breast pump to try and stimulate the wasn't giving up anything! They ended up putting my baby on formula for several days until my milk came. A few weeks later I had to start supplementing with formula because I just wasn't making enough. I gave up altogether when he was about 4 months old. I just couldn't take the stress from worrying if I was giving him enough/too much formula.

    Good luck!

  • Just because YOU can't express anything, does NOT mean nothing is coming out when baby suckles :)
