How do you feel about this statement.....

'Blackbirds stick with blackbirds and doves stick with doves?'
I personally dont interracially date. Not because im racist but thats just how I am. I see NO problem with interracial dating. Should we compare ourselves to animals?? Ive seen this statement used before...but not on here. Should our lives be based on nature?...What are your thoughts? TIA!!

  • I think its more culturally based than color. Here in America its not seen so much as an issue, but other countries REALLY frown on it. When my uncle asked my full Greek aunt to marry him,her family went apeshit over her wanting to marry a white American guy. Some cultures still want their bloodlines"pure" Its old school stuff. Hopefully as time marches on,this will be less of an issue

  • We are, though, all human! That's my thoughts. I don't think we should date outside our species... LOL!

  • and humans stay with humans.... What are all these questions about race? It shouldn't even be an issue that is thought of anymore.

  • You cannot compare us to animals for we are human beings, and attraction and love sees no color.

  • I think that saying is a load of crap. It's actually biologically better (wrt inherited diseases, in particular) to have different ethnic groups mix.

  • Trust me! Im not racist but have seen this term used before. Yes we are all human. And birds are all birds. So a dove with a dove is a white bird with a white bird. Just as a blackbird is a bird with another black bird. Im just trying to see how this scenerio is see by others

  • We are all human. Different collars that's all.  It is not like we are dating monkeys.

  • That logic doesn't make sense. My dog is a cross between a beagle and a pug and we aren't even sure what my sister's dog is a mix of as they got her from a shelter. Apparently, not all animals are like that.
