  • The one I hated because I could retire faster.

  • Good question. Making more money would make life easier, but if you hated your job, how much enjoyment would you actually get out of having that money? My MIL is what I would call wealthy, they have lots of expensive things (classic cars, 2 homes...) but she isn't happy. She gets no enjoyment out of all the things they have. So for me personally, I think likeing your job would be better than making more money.

  • Well, as much as I would like to say I would prefer the job paying $35-$40K a year, once you take out insurance, taxces, etc. there'd be about $20-$30K a year left over and my bills amount to approx. $24K a year so I have to be realistic and go with the job I hate that pays over 70K a year.

  • I'd rather have an average paying job that I liked. My husband is in a high-paying job that he dislikes and I feel so sorry for him. I tell him often to take a lower paying job and take on less responsibility, but he won't.

  • I would rather have a low paying job I liked, if you hate your job does it really matter how much money you're making? I'd rather be happy and poor than rich and miserable.
