Birth Control

Would you let your daughter get birth control, even if you thought she was too young, even if you thought she shouldn't be having sex. I remember asking my mom, and she told me no up and down, it didn't stop me from having sex, and I had my first at 19.

  • I would rather put her on birth control, especially if she is the one asking for it.

So, why weren't you on BC? You didn't need your mother's permission at 18 years old.

No, I wouldn't put my daughter on BC, it is not healthy for girls/women to take and we have heart problems already in our family. BC doesn't stop STDs either. Hopefully, my daughter will respect herself  more than that. No bashing or explaining that girls will have sex if they want to. Some girls think more of themselves than to become a "teen mom."

  • Yeah I would but a long with it would come a LONNNNG lecture about how it isn't 100% effective, the risks involved, and that it doesn't prevent STDs... if she still wants it then absolutely.

  • i would never allow my children to have birth control other than abstinence and condoms. we too would have many discussions about std's, love, pregnancy...what boys want, what she deserves...

  • OH LORD, TO THE POSTER THAT SAID NO. WELL IF YOUR DAUGHTER HAS SEX, SHE OBVIOUSLY KNOWS SHE CANT COME TO YOU. OF COURSE YOU SHOULD PUT HER ON BC...ASAP!

  • Effective birth control is much safer for a teen than an unplanned pregnancy.
