What would you serve with shredded BBQ beef sandwiches?

I'm looking to stray from the same old-same old.

  • What's your same old anyway? Whenever we have shredded anything, I always get requests for garlic mashed taters or potato salad, green beans, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw....

  • cole slaw and oven fries. Can't beat those two. Or you could do mac and cheese and a garden salad. Or corn on the cob and carrot and celery sticks.

  • Same old = baked potatoes, fries, chips, potato salad...green salad is a pretty much daily staple...baked beans sounds good, but I don't have time now...

  • A veggie of some sort (for us it would be a salad, or steamed carrots or green beans, or asparagus if we had any), plus some fruit. You already have your carb (the bun or whatever you're using for the sandwich), so to add another carb would be overload IMO.
