How would you cook your shrimp to go with Saffron rice as a side.

savory saffron rice made with broth, garlic, onion and possibly some peas. I am also going to steam dome broccoli to go with it. I just can't decide how to flavor the shrimp...

  • May be dull and predictable but sweet chilli, can't go wrong. That works with the addition of ground coriander too (as you can tell I'm not at all purist!!!)

  • Oh I am by far not a purist. I am not quite that adventurous in my cooking yet. lol
I like the idea of sweet chili but I don't think my son would eat it.

  • Shrimp scampi is really good. We usually boil shrimp in beer (or water) and lots of spicy seasonings, Tony Chacerie's, cayenne, garlic salt, lemons, worcheshire, etc.

  • My DS misses out on a lot (lol) because he has food 'rules' and new things take him a few offerings to get him to eat. We are still working on getting him to eat the saffron rice so I don't want to throw him for a loop with sweet chili just yet! I plan on doing that at some point though! sounds good!
