  • In court filings late Friday, the Interior Department said the permit applications are flawed or incomplete, and that Judge Martin Feldman's order that it decide on them before the end of the month disrupts the normal back-and-forth negotiations between oil companies and federal regulators.

Seems kind of stupid to reject them without giving them a chance to revise their applications. What would be the harm in letting them fix the mistakes or fill in some missing information? Both sides have already spent a lot of time and energy on the permit applications, it seems like a terrible waste to start from scratch for no real reason.

  • I think they know exactly what they are doing and doing it on purpose. Obama said during the campaign that he was not upset at $4 a gallon gas, just that it went up too fast. They want gas to skyrocket so they can make/push/foist/whatever their "green" vehicles on people that do not want them!

This administration has shown us time and time again, they DON'T CARE WHAT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT.....they are smarter than us and know what we should have, how we should live, what we should eat, drink, etc.

  • It's all on purpose.

  • After the Gulf oil spill, it seems reasonable to expect applications be completed properly and fully. Nothing to do with any green agenda .

  • The Obama Admin. doesn't care if gas cost 10.00 a gal; we pay their way. The sooner the progressives can break our country, the sooner they can implement marxism and he can be da king dictator...

  • WAS over $4 a gallon in some places when Obama was elected and you are going to blame him now?

Answer by Anonymous at 5:28 PM on Mar. 7, 2011

  • What Anon? You think they would not have blamed him then?
Anyway, allowing for maybe a couple of stations gouging people in CA, gas has not been over $4 a gallon while Obama was President The last time it was that much was the summer of '08 and you can bet the liberals were blaming Bush.
It IS Obamas fault we are not drilling.

  • If memory serves me correctly, the gas prices dropped right BEFORE the election.

Answer by lovinangels at 6:27 PM on Mar. 7, 2011

  • I dont want high gas prices but that seems better then letting BP drill again in the Gulf Coast......... thats just another huge disaster waiting to happen and I will never ever support it!!!!!!!

Its funny to hear when ppl don't want to own hybrid or electric cars like they are worthless or not as fancy as what they have now. A car is a car, if it gets you from point A to point B you should shut your trap!! They are the future and gas has got to go bye bye.
