Does uncooked spaghetti go stale?

I have a box of opened spaghetti in the cabinet. It's been there for 3 months. Should I toss it or is it ok to use?

  • Yes and NO. If you keep it in a cool place it will keep for over 1 to 2 year. Put it in freezer and keep for 1 to 4 year. If you keep it out and not wrap it will go bad on you. If you just open it and put in in a closeed contain it will keep for about 6 month to 8 month.

  • There should be a "use by" date or "freshness" date on the box. But, 3 months, I'd still use it.

  • Throw it out :) Opened spaghetti is only good for about 1 week in the cabinet- in a tupperware or other sealed container it can last about 3 months...
