Have you ever heard of adjustment disorder in children?

Do you know someone who has a child with it? If so, how do they help that child to deal? Our son was just diagnosed and Im not sure how to best help him at home to over come it.. any ideas would be great!!

  • My nephew has one. My sister takes him to therapy and tries her hardest to have him stick to his routine everyday. He has been doing better, but he still has his days. Good luck to you and your son! *Hugs*

  • I have been diagnosed with that myself a few yrs ago, what sort of adjustment disorder does he have? Here is a website that may help u, and it explains different types, and treatment suggestions and types

Its also not hard to overcome as long as their isn't alot of stress, different things going on all at once ect. Alot of family support will do wonders.
having AD isn't as bad as it sounds if thats what your main concern is. IOf he experiances some sort of tramua, it will take him a little longer to get over it compared to other people.

  • He has ADHD also but he just flips out and becomes violent. We just found about AD because of an episode he had almost 2 weeks ago. We are still trying to find out more info about it and how to help him. Thank you for the website! That is so helpful!
