Will his sperm cause early contractions due to the prostaglandins? I am 25 weeks. It is not happening. I am just wondering.

  • It's unlikely to be a problem for you now. It's only a "potential" inducer anyway, so I wouldn't even think about it!

  • Apparently, only after 36 weeks of pregnancy can his semen, not sperm, really cause softening of the cervix and possibly some contractions. No worries for now.

  • It's never caused a problem for me and my boyfriend. I'm 36 weeks today and we're still active. I haven't had any pre-term labor, so you're probably good to go :D
